Hello!

As you may know, not only am I an author, but I am a literary agent with Rees Literary Agency, and I am excited to continue building my list!

My MSWL

I am building my list in Adult Fiction and Non-Fiction, Young Adult, and Middle Grade. I'm passionately seeking BIPOC and queer creators who highlight parts of their cultures and experiences. I am an advocate for body positivity in publishing, and love to highlight intersectionality. I aim to widen the entryway for marginalized authors into the publishing industry, and to normalize Black joy, fat joy, celebrations of culture, and love without limitations.

In Adult Fiction, I am searching for steamy romance, comedy-forward rom-coms, exciting mysteries (cozy or otherwise) which include a romantic element, powerful women’s fiction, main characters who are members of underrepresented groups in publishing, cinnamon roll love interests, intergenerational family dynamics, and masculinity that isn’t toxic. I'm also open to thrillers outside of the traditional domestic––give me siblings, best friends, neighborhoods. Ensemble casts for mysteries and thrillers are a plus. I'm into paranormal and adventure romance, but I'm not currently looking for epic adult fantasy or romantasy.

In Young Adult, I want angsty, emotional love stories, rom-coms, challenging coming-of-age stories, exciting mysteries and thrillers, creepy horrors, fantasies that include dynamic world-building, and witty teens who embrace their cultures and differences. Yes to BIPOC paranormal and magical realism. Yes to complex identities and intersectionality and big emotions.

In Middle Grade, I'm looking to find fun adventure stories, thrilling fantasies which help kids explore their identities, mysteries that allow readers to explore intersectionality and inclusivity, and spooky horrors that fold in cultural mythology.

In Non-Fiction, I'm looking for Adult biographies and memoirs which shed light on people and parts of history that are often erased or forgotten, self-help collections focused on empowerment, cookbooks that highlight family traditions and culture, and YA and MG non-fiction that highlights historical figures and innovators who aren’t included in today’s curriculum. I'm also looking for fresh takes on health and wellness, as well as financial literacy, that addresses marginalized communities.

I am also searching for talented illustrators who can work across age groups (picture books, chapter books, MG and YA).

I am not currently looking for unsolicited picture books, romantasy, adult horror, romance with alpha males, or erotica; however, I will consider picture books by referral only.

Fun facts about me:

I love stories that include intergenerational family dynamics, fur babies, and food. I adore sassy pets who pay their humans no mind. Humor and joy go a long way. I'm into vampires, fae vibes, and witches. I love vivid imagery, witty dialogue, ride-or-die friends, and intersectional identities.
